If you find yourself arriving here, it’s because you want to know more about me. That’s completely normal if we are to engage in a partnership. I place high value in human relationship, and I think that establishing trust is essential.

Hello, I’m Adrien Pastant. Graduated with honors in 2018 from a Master’s degree in Translation Technologies, part of the European Master’s in Translation (EMT), I always have been attracted to foreign languages.

That’s why, even if I’m based in Nancy, France, you may find me occasionally living under different time zones, discovering and studying new cultures and languages. As a matter of a fact, I spent quite a lot of time in Europe and most recently in Thailand, living my passion for Muay Thai, but more on that soon.

ENGLISH

My love for English came to me through music, I recall translating the lyrics of my favourite songs as a kid. I’ve always been fascinated with the endless association possibilities that lie with the English words. I’ve never stopped studying it since then, and I still translate some songs!

GERMAN

Growing up near the French and German border, I was influenced from a young age by Germany, its language and culture. While it is through music that I found English, it’s the musicality of the German language that I found quite fascinating. My mother and her parents speak it, and I was taught it since primary school. If your offices are in Germany, we may even consider meeting in person!

FRENCH

French is my mother tongue, but none of its aspects – from orthograph to lexicology – do I take for granted. I will always be in love with the beauty of French and how it applies to literature, poetry and lyricism.

WHY TRANSLATION

Translation is an essential process for anyone looking to expand their business to a new foreign market. It gives you access to a brand-new audience and allows you to share your vision and ideas. Having your products or services properly translated installs a feeling of trust and demonstrates your professionalism. Translation should be considered as important as general marketing when entering new countries.

WHY ME

Having a Master’s Degree in Translation Technologies, I have been trained in the science of translation, interpretation and localisation. I commit to respect deadlines and to be as precise as one can be on any projects, according to standard ISO 17100. To do so, I use appropriate Computer Assisted Translation (CAT) tools, such as Trados Studio or MemoQ, on which I’m qualified to work. As a freelance translator, I will be your only point of contact, ensuring a relationship of trust is built and avoiding unnecessary fees.
